Happy Pride Month! 🌈

I've always believed people should be free to love who they love, be comfortable in their own skin, and live authentically. I respect everyone's choices, support body positivity, and hope everyone finds happiness in being themselves.

At the end of the day, kindness, respect, and treating each other well matter most.

Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and love-filled month.

I started M.C. Slammer because I love roller derby. I stayed M.C. Slammer because of the people. Every league that invites me, every skater who laughs at one of my terrible jokes, every fan who comes up to say hello, and every official who keeps me honest helps make this journey something special. And don't forget time out dance party!!

M.C. Slammer started as an idea, but thanks to this amazing derby community, it's become a journey I never expected. Every game, every road trip, every new derby family I meet makes me excited for the next one.

Two weekends later, I'm still grateful. Still humbled. Still chasing the next opportunity to grab a microphone and help bring a little more energy, excitement, and chaos to the track.

And judging by this photo, I was either making a very important announcement... or trying to remember where I put my coffee. ☕😂

And if your league is still looking for an announcer this season, my calendar has a few openings left. I'd love to help bring a little mayhem, energy, and excitement to your next event. 🎙️♠️

I'm not saying your bout will descend into complete chaos without me....but I'm not NOT saying it either.
I've still got a few weekends still open this season. If you're looking for an announcer who loves this sport as much as the skaters do, let's talk. From hard-hitting rivalry bouts to fun mixers and tournaments. Let's raise some hell and make some memories.

Don't let your game day go silent.

🖤🎙️ I don’t even fully know how to put this weekend into words. 🎙️🖤

This weekend at the WFTDA North American South Regional Playoffs honestly felt like a dream.

A few years ago, I never would’ve imagined I’d be standing behind a microphone announcing games at this level, meeting incredible people from all over the derby community, interviewing skaters and legends of the sport, and having people recognize me as M.C. Slammer.

And now somehow… it’s real.

People see the photos, the videos, the hype, the crowds, the microphone…

But what they don’t always see is how much announcing genuinely means to me.

There’s something about standing behind a microphone and feeling a crowd come alive that I can’t even explain properly. Hearing people cheer, laugh, react, get loud, and feel every second of a game because of the energy I’m bringing… that feeling is indescribable.

This weekend gave me moments I’ll carry with me forever:
🔥 meeting amazing people
🛼 announcing unforgettable games
📸 making memories
🎤 interviewing people I deeply respect
💥 gaining new followers and support
🤝 connecting with new teams and future opportunities

Every conversation, every crowd reaction, every “you did amazing,” every person who stopped to talk to me… it all meant more than you probably realize.

For so long this was just a dream in my head.
Something I loved doing simply because it made me happy and made other people smile.

And now somehow… people are starting to believe in me too.

That part honestly gets emotional for me.

I know I’m still growing.
I know I still have a long road ahead.
But weekends like this make me truly believe that one day I really can do this professionally.

Not because I want fame.
Not because I want attention.

But because I genuinely love announcing with my whole heart.

I love creating energy.
I love making moments feel important.
I love making crowds feel connected to the game.
I love helping people FEEL something.

And roller derby gave me a place where I could fully be myself while doing that.

To every skater, official, volunteer, announcer, photographer, production crew member, fan, and friend this weekend — thank you.

Thank you for supporting me.
Thank you for believing in me.
Thank you for letting M.C. Slammer have a voice in this community. 🖤

One day I hope I can say I travel and announce derby professionally.

But for now…
I’m just unbelievably thankful I get to live this dream at all. 🎤⚡

🎤🖤 What an incredible weekend at the WFTDA North American South Regional Playoffs. 🖤🎤

I just want to take a moment to genuinely thank everyone involved for giving me the opportunity to be part of something this special.

From the skaters, officials, announcers, volunteers, photographers, coaches, production crews, and every single fan that brought energy to the venue — thank you for making this weekend unforgettable.

Being able to announce alongside so many talented people, meet amazing teams from across the region, interview members of the derby community, and feel the passion that lives inside this sport reminded me exactly why I fell in love with roller derby in the first place.

This wasn’t just a tournament.
This was heart, community, chaos, resilience, and family all rolled into one incredible weekend. 💥🛼

Thank you WFTDA for this amazing opportunity.
I truly hope this is only the beginning.

Until next time…
Feel every second. ⚡
