They usually know your phone number and will often include a phone call along with the text making it more believable because it came from multiple sources. They are fairly rude on the phone and get very demanding when you ask any questions and don't just give them your info. Remember that no real customer service agent is going to speak to you that way and companies do not call and ask for personal info like this anymore because the planet has been plagued with this type of fraud
