If cattle drives, ranch life, rustlers, and wholesome romance sounds intriguing to you, you will enjoy An Autumn of Violets! Here is the β¨οΈworkingβ¨οΈ book blurb:
For as long as she can remember, Missy Cable has always wanted to ranch, but her father was too hesitant to let her dive into such a hard and dangerous career. Determined to show her abilities, she worked for her brother until 1872 when she finally earns her father's favor. In return, he gifts her a hundred and sixty acres of land with her own starter herd of cattle. Her life began turning out exactly how Missy planned, but she didn't take into account that God's plan might be guiding her down a different path.
Obadiah Watson is a young ministry intern who travels to the Marshall, Texas area to become the new reverend in the country church. His confidence and faith are challenged when he is met with opposition from his new congregation. Milton Cable, family patriarch, notices the potential in Obadiah and offers to teach him about the community while encouraging him as the leader of their church. Through Milton's mentorship, Obadiah learns to trust the Lord to guide his path, even when it leads to an unexpected outcome.

I am a Christian author who doesn't just write "fluff." Yes, my books have romance. Yes, my books have some humor. Yes, there are wholesome elements in every story I craft.
But I'm not afraid to write about the brokenness of this fallen world and the need for a Savior.
My books touch on hard topics because in my 27 years, I have gone through a lot of hard events. My sister was in a toxic and abusive relationship when she was 20 (I was 18), and my parents and I walked with her as she became a single mom. I got married at 20, and people doubted my relationship because of our age and our situation. My husband and I had a miscarriage when we first started trying to grow our family. I lost my sister in a car accident when she was 26 (I was 24 at the time). I've watched my nephew lose his mom when he was 5 and struggle with life that's a little less traditional than most kids in our area, and I've watched my brother-in-law navigate being a widower when his marriage to my sister tragically ended after 2 months. Not to mention walking alongside friends who have faced their own trials.
But God.
He is good. He is just. He is the Creator of this universe, and I have seen Him work. Because of that, I want to proclaim His goodness in my fictional novels. Yes, you will find hard topics in my books, but I show God's mercy, grace, love, and forgiveness by the end of every story.
If this is something that intrigues you about me, check out my books on Amazon! And feel free to message me or follow me if you want to get connected π

I thought I would share who my target audience was when I wrote all of my published novels so far. I know some teenagers from my church have read a few of my books, but I wanted to be completely transparent in light of a YA controversy I've seen on Boomstagram lately.
As a Christian, I strive to honor God in my stories first and foremost. Because of my faith, I don't like to write explicit open-door scenes. I also don't like to write or read curse words, so I don't include them. I always point the story back to the Lord in a natural, not-preachy way, but I also show the brokenness of this world.
That being said, my books are not meant for everyone. I hope by making this post and pinning it to my profile new readers can get a feel for what's inside my novels before they turn the first page. π
I'm also planning to dive into more Young Adult (YA) content soon, so when that is ready, I'll announce it to everyone!
