When I first started my design business, I pretty much denied that was what I was doing. My own business? No, I never wanted to run my own business. I just knew that photographing weddings as a lead photographer created anxiety and stress more than they lit up my heart and inspired me. While I have a deep appreciation for everything I learned from photographing weddings (and the incredible friend who held my hand through it all, love you boo ), all I knew was that it was time for me to use my creative eye in a new way.

FORTUNATELY, my work as a photographer has greatly shaped the design work I do now. I have a deeper understanding of the needs photographers (and other creatives in the creative industry) have in their business and admiration for the unique strengths and individual artistry of each of my clients.

Y'all. It's finally happening. I've put off working on my own website because my clients are SO important to me and I always want to make sure I'm serving them well.

BUT, it's important to keep future clients in mind too! I once heard someone say, "When you aren't sharing what your people need, you're stealing from them." While, okay, that's on the extreme side, it really did make me consider the creatives out there who are missing the value I aim to bring to their business.
