These two new enclosure are 200 square feet each. We built the cinderblock walls Monday afternoon. Put in one plant each, hides and water dishes, and the logs in just a few minutes Tuesday morning. Then put in 11 plants in 1 hour today. We had to work around other commitments, but completed in less than 6 hours. Yes they need more shade. If you own tortoises you know the enclosure becomes a never ending work in progress hobby.

We only require 100 square feet for box turtles, Russians, and Greeks. Many of our juvenile sulcatas can live in a 200 square foot enclosure for a few years before they need your 3000 square feet space. This all means you could have an enclosure ready in a weekend and adopt a tortoise. Don't wait. Go ahead and do it.
