Saturday, April 18, 2026 was one of those extraordinary days in Philadelphia when the stars aligned! Yes! The Flyers beat the Penguins, but also, four former Presidents were in town discussing our Democracy, as articulated by our brilliant Constitution "We the people ...," AND, while the Presidents were discussing our historic government for the 250th, a STATE MARKER was being dedicated in Old City, on Market St., between 2nd & 3rd for the man regarded as the "Penman of the Constitution," GOUVERNEUR MORRIS (1752-1816)! YES!!!! Morris wrote those famous words, the Preamble, "WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES, IN ORDER TO FORM A MORE PERFECT UNION, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings pf Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." YES!!! Morris wrote these incredible words while staying at Miss Mary Dalley's boarding house (where the Marker is now located). Oh my! I was truly honored to be asked by the DAR, to be a part of the beautiful Procession for the dedication. Thank you to Beth Watkins, State Chair, PSSDAR, for all of your hard work, and to everyone involved in finally making this important recognition for Gouverneur Morris possible, especially for the 250TH! . . . The Man and the Marker are now proudly displayed on my "Time Line To Liberty & Unity" Apron above the Constitution!

Oh my! I had a communication today from Fred Stein, the producer of the Super Bowl Parade and he asked me to be on the Parkway to interact with Fans and wave my PHILLY Flag - get them flagged!The staging area is at the end of the Parkway at the iconic Museum / Rocky steps where the tallest PHILLY Flagpole in the City waves proudly “PHILADELPHIA MANETO!” I’m honored and so excited to share in this monumental occasion for PHILLY and have our PHILLY Flag in the mix!!!
