After having a baby we often hear about postpartum care, postpartum depression, but have you heard about postpartum rage? NO?! 😱
Well, let’s talk about it for a minute. Postpartum rage looks like an iceberg. Here are a few things you might see: outbursts of anger, easily triggered, resentful, irritable, short fuse, etc.
But here is what you don’t see:
Unmet needs
Postpartum depression
Postpartum anxiety
Lack of support
Burnout
Struggling to adjust to motherhood
Relationship challenges
Feeling alone, etc.
It is important for you to be aware of those feelings so you can know what is going on and how to deal with it. All of the above are valid emotions and it is ok for you to feel this way. But it is possible to get to a better place. You can first start by speaking up! At Grace Guided, we are here to help you and pray for and with you.
