I love vintage stereo images! Viewing these images in three dimensions was a very popular form of entertainment in the 1800's, way before View-Masters! It is a very interesting fact that in the mid 1800's the inventor of the "American Stereo Viewer" was Oliver Wendell Holmes (1809-1894), best known as American poet and author. He was born in Cambridge, MA future home of Polaroid!
