SMP Architects

Located Just down the road from the Park Office and Environmental Learning Center currently under construction at Bald Eagle State Park, another SMP project – The Nature Inn – was designed to connect guests with the outdoors and convey a message of conservation and stewardship. Overlooking a spectacular reservoir, this LEED Gold project offers amenities to visitors wanting to experience the park that are not offered by traditional campgrounds and cabins. The project was named the Best Eco-Friendly Hotel in the nation by USA TODAY.

Over a lunchtime charrette, the SMP team brainstormed ideas for a new project at The Hill School in Pottstown, which is composed of a renovation of two historic campus structures connected by a dynamic new building showcasing state-of-the-art laboratories. More details about this project to come!

Though winter is now upon us, students at the recently completed Lions Gate Apartments at Penn State Abington were able to take advantage of the site amenities this fall. In addition to having areas to sit and relax or do work, there is dedicated bicycle storage and a public bike-share and car-share program, as well as a stop for the University shuttle system.
