Dear Lochel's Bakery followers, customers, and friends,

First, we'd like to thank you for your continued support! We've been proud to call Hatboro home for over 30 years, and we truly feel blessed by the support of our amazing community. We wouldn't be in business over 80 years without local support!

As we move through the next weeks and months, we're asking for a little patience and understanding as we train an almost entirely new retail staff. We are incredibly fortunate to have such wonderful high school employees over the years, but now many of them are heading off to college. We're excited to welcome new team members who are kind, friendly, eager to learn, and we know they'll do a great job—but training takes time!

As we train 7 new employees, we kindly ask for your patience if service is a little slower than usual or the ordering process takes a little longer. We must train properly!

We still have one part-time morning opener/day shift position available that has been a challenge to fill. This position starts at 5:30 a.m., so we're looking for someone who is an early riser and, most importantly, extremely dependable. Those two qualities have been very difficult to find. If you've shared one of our hiring posts, thank you! Those shares truly make a difference in helping us reach potential employees.

There may be occasions when we need to temporarily adjust our business hours. While that's not what we want, we also won't leave new employees working alone before they're fully trained or operate without adequate coverage from experienced staff. If our hours need to change, we'll communicate those changes immediately on our social media pages. We sincerely apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

These past 21 years of our ownership have brought us many wonderful memories, but they have also brought what we believe have been greatest challenges. If we're being completely honest, had we known just how difficult this journey of owning a small business would sometimes be—the sacrifices, the missed family time, the constant stress, and the ever-changing challenges—we're not sure we would have chosen this path. But we did, and we're here because we actually love the bakery, and we're committed to continuing to serve you the very best we can while we are able too!

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for continuing to support our family-owned bakery. It truly means more than you'll ever know.
