My 2025 Steamroll wood block print has returned to Houston after an extended exhibition at the Abrams Gallery . Happy that it made the deadline before I head to Colorado in June. A wonderful first Saturday opening exhibit, love talking with everyone, thrilled by those liking and taking home some of my work. Thankful for the opportunity and gracious offer by Artist Sharon Kopriva for these months At Redbud Gallery. This 3 ft x 5 ft wood block print is not framed, therefore is offered at a reduced price. 🎶✨ Claude Debussy – Clair de Lune Original Disney animation 🎥 • Clair de Lune by Debussy is one of the most iconic compositions in classical music, known for its softness and ethereal beauty. What many don’t know is that Disney had a complete animation ready for this piece, which was excluded from Fantasia in 1940 due to the film’s excessive length. The piece was set aside, but its story didn’t end there. • In 1942, the Clair de Lune animation was finalized with vibrant colors and Technicolor photography, but once again, it was never released. In 1946, the sequence was edited and transformed into the famous Blue Bayou segment of Make Mine Music. Despite attempts to recreate the original animation over the years, earlier versions were thwarted due to the lack of animations and footage of Stokowski. • It wasn’t until 1992, when a nitrate copy of the original version was found, that Clair de Lune was fully reconstructed, finally allowing Walt Disney’s original vision to be revealed.
