Congratulations to the Montco Phillies for winning the Philadelphia Fall Baseball League Championship by sweeping Homers for Hope today!
Terrible news reached me in Cali this morning regarding the PFBL family! Matt Wilcox passed away yesterday. Matt’s ties to baseball in NJ, Delco and Philly made him known to a lot of people. He will be missed! If there are details available regarding services and funeral arrangements I will post them.

The PFBL is back at it, and we had a beautiful morning for baseball today.
The 20th Season of the Philadelphia Fall Baseball League has come to a conclusion! In celebrating those 20 years, here's a recap of some of the accomplishments of players and teams during that time...
With their 2019 championship, giving them 5 consecutive titles, the Horsham River Cats earned their 9th League Championship in 20 years.
Just behind the River Cats are the Philadelphia Yankees, the league's first ever champs, who during their 15 years in the league earned 6 titles (one came under the name of Roxborough Indians).
The only other team to win multiple championships being the back to back winners in 2005 and 2006, the Croydon Sand Gnats.
The other champions in league history have been the Delco Blue Rocks, the South Jersey Dominators, and the Valley Forge Grays.
The Croydon Sand Gnats won two consecutive titles, the Philadelphia Yankees won 4 consecutive (one as Roxborough Indians) and another 2 back to back later, while the Horsham River Cats have won back to back titles twice and now 5 consecutive championships.
The PFBL's first League MVP was Mike Johnston (Philadelphia Yankees/Roxborough Indians) in 2002.
The PFBL's first League Pitcher of the Year was John Durso (Philadelphia Yankees/Roxborough Indians) in 2003.
Pete Moore of the Horsham River Cats has earned 3 League Pitcher of the Year awards, as well as 1 League MVP, while leading his team to all the championships mentioned above.
Pete's teammate on the River Cats, Doug Brown, has earned 4 League Pitcher of the Year awards, also as a part of numerous River Cats championships.
Josh Wernick of the Croydon Sand Gnats earned League MVP and League Pitcher of the Year awards.
Dan Gavlick, currently of the Philadelphia Dirt Dawgs, and formerly of the Philadelphia Yankees, has earned League MVP and League Co-MVP awards.
Kevin McGovern of the Philadelphia Dirt Dawgs, and formerly of both the Philadelphia Yankees and Valley Forge Grays, earned League Pitcher of the Year and League Co-MVP awards.
The Fasano brothers, Nick and James, of the Horsham River Cats have each won a League MVP or League Co-MVP award.
