Proof of Life is an intentional practice powered by people and shaped by real stories. This is artist-driven, people-powered work, rooted in presence, exchange, and the belief that creativity belongs in community. Go deeper into the artists's process in this interview: https://wfly.co/Os28I

West Park Community,

Every great festival needs someone who can hold a crowd, own a stage, and make every single person feel like they belong in the moment.

This June 13th, that person is Carlo Campbell

A Philadelphia actor and performer with deep roots in the city’s theatre community — from Quintessence Theatre Group to Passage Theatre Company to Theatre in the X, the West Philly institution dedicated to bringing world-class theatre to this community for free — Carlo brings the kind of stage presence that doesn’t just host a show. It elevates one.

From the opening act to the final bow, Carlo will be holding it down on the MainStage keeping the energy alive, the crowd engaged, and the vibes exactly where they need to be all afternoon.

West Park Arts Fest · Saturday, June 13 · 1–6PM · Free · All ages

Proof of Life is not a concept, it’s a practice.

This week in East Parkside, creative process meets collective presence at Painted Bride Project Space.

Spotlight on our offerings from Proof of Life Resident Artist Yannick Lowery .paper

SATURDAY, MAY 9
11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
YANNICK LOWERY’S Blues of Parkside: A Cyanotype Workshop
A hands-on cyanotype workshop rooted in the stories and textures of West Philadelphia’s Parkside neighborhood. Using light-sensitive materials and found imagery, participants will create their own prints while reflecting on memory, place, and the everyday moments that shape community life. This session is both an introduction to cyanotype as a process and an invitation to consider how images can preserve personal and collective histories.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 13
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
YANNICK LOWERY’S Between Matriarchs: A Community Exhibition
Building on the cyanotype workshop from May 9, this community exhibition shares work developed through conversations, images, and lived experiences connected to matriarchal lineage in West Philadelphia’s Parkside neighborhood.
