NEW MOON IN PISCES 2026 HOROSCOPE BY KELLY FROM PATHWAYS 2 HEALING ASTROLOGY
Hello everyone, on the night of March 18th, 2026, we are having a new Moon in Pisces. This happens in every sign once a year when the Sun and Moon come together. So, I want you to go on a bit of a journey through cinema history with me, but I promise it will lead us to the new Moon. A few days ago, I had a memory of the movie “My Girl” come rushing back to me, this movie came out in 1991, and I was really young, but I remember watching it and liking it, even though the content might have gone over my head a little bit. It was this coming-of-age story of a girl, played by Anna Chlumsky, and in the movie, she had a best friend who was a boy and he was kind of nerdy, he wore glasses, and he was “allergic to everything.” Now if you have never seen this movie, I am going to spoil it for you here, at the end of the movie he gets stung by a bunch of bees and because he is allergic to everything, he dies. At his funeral when Anna Chlumsky’s character sees her friend in the casket she breaks down and starts screaming “put his glasses on, he can’t see.” This is the part that came rushing back to me, I remember it very vividly, it was a very emotional scene, the actress did an incredible job of portraying what it’s like to be in pain, so much so I still remember it today. Then at the end of the movie, I kind of remember her riding off on her bike with another boy and it really was this symbolic, one stage of life ending and another beginning. This is why I am bringing it up at this new Moon, we have a new Moon happening late on the 18th and then on the 20th we have the Spring equinox where the Sun enters Aries and starts a new astrological year. Even though the Sun enters Aries once every year we are really entering new territory, collectively and individually, as we begin a new phase in society. This is due to a couple of reasons, for one thing, Pluto is in Aquarius in the background of all these transitions. The sign of Aquarius is about both the collective and the individual and how these two separate but equal parts can exist together. There is another transit that happened recently that is also very important. If you recall, on February 20th of this year Saturn and Neptune made their official conjunction in the sign of Aries, bringing in a new era. Now we have the new Moon in the last sign of the zodiac and then it will welcome in the equinox with the Sun entering Aries and within a few days joining up with Saturn and Neptune. This is a time that we can really have momentum into the future. Now back to the new Moon, Pisces is a very spiritual sign, it is a water sign, and it can be very emotional. Because new Moons represent new beginnings and the start of Aries season brings in a “new year” it really is that one phase of life is ending while a new one begins. This doesn’t mean it is negative or positive, it just means we have to realize that the direction our journey is taking us is now different. Just like in the movie, the main character went from childhood to adolescence, it might not be that dramatic of a transition, but new stuff is entering our lives and old stuff is leaving.
The rest of this week does have a lot going on astrologically, to recap, we have a new Moon in Pisces followed by the Sun moving into Aries and bringing in the Spring equinox, but we have another event too. That is Mercury going direct and immediately conjoining the North Node in Pisces. This is important because all these events separately would mean something but happening so close together means a lot. Mercury has been retrograde but come March 20th it will go direct and when it does it will meet up with the North Node, which is a point in the sky that guides us towards our fated direction. This is clarity, this is the fog lifting and we can finally see clearly. The information and answers we get at this time can really help us to decide what we need to do next. I do think this is where the feeling of “being stuck” gets lifted. It is also when things really start to move forward, we now start to be able to feel that adrenaline rush that Aries is so famous for.
We are transitioning into a new time, one where we don’t quite know what to expect but just that something unexpected is on its way. Much like kids riding their bikes off into the sunset with their lives ahead of them, despite what tragedy has occurred before them, we too have a lot waiting for us. There is a lot happening in the world and it’s hard to believe it won’t impact our individual lives. However, it might be that part of the process is bridging these larger events into our own world. Separating the collective and the individual might not be so easy anymore, which to me screams Pluto in Aquarius. The new Moon always brings in a new opportunity so be open to what comes next. Pisces is a sign for dreamers, so allow yourself to dream, it’s what’s going to make these next few months easier.
