This past Friday, the Sector Delaware Chiefs Mess hosted our annual “Chiefsgiving” for the crew of Sector Delaware Bay and all attached units. 🇺🇸🦃

We had a fantastic turnout filled with fellowship, good food, and a shared sense of gratitude. It’s always a privilege to come together as one team and take a moment to appreciate the hard work, dedication, and camaraderie that make this community so strong.

Thankful for all who attended and helped make this year’s Chiefsgiving a memorable one!

⚓ Standing the Watch – ANT Philadelphia on the Delaware River

Even when the world slows down, the Coast Guard never stops. 🇺🇸

Aids to Navigation Team Philadelphia keeps the Delaware River open and safe—maintaining buoys, beacons, and channels that allow vital supplies, food, and resources to reach communities across PA, NJ, and DE. ⚓

Even through the government shutdown, these dedicated men and women continue to report for duty, ensuring the flow of commerce and safety of every mariner on the river.

The Liberty Chapter CPOA is proud to stand behind ANT Philadelphia—supporting our Chiefs, their crews, and their families who keep the lights shining for others. ❤️🤍💙

🔔 Our Liberty Chapter Emblem ⚓

The Liberty Bell reminds us that freedom is not without its cracks — and the Chief’s Anchor resting within them symbolizes how Chiefs hold our nation and service together through strength, tradition, and unity. The red background honors sacrifice, and the stars reflect the Chiefs who serve across PA, NJ, and DE.

Liberty Chapter — where freedom rings and Chiefs stand the watch. 🇺🇸

⚓ Meet Our President – CPO Matthew Whitlow

🇺🇸 We’re proud to introduce Chief Petty Officer Matthew Whitlow, President of the Liberty Chapter CPOA.

A Surfman #537, husband, and proud dad of an 8-year-old son, Chief Whitlow took the helm in July 2024. He currently serves as XPO at Station Barnegat Light, with previous tours at the National Motor Lifeboat School, Station Golden Gate, and Station Annapolis.

Chief Whitlow loves how our chapter connects Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware—a community of Active, Reserve, Civilian, and Auxiliary members all bound by service and pride.

Join us in welcoming Chief Whitlow as we continue to honor our past, serve our communities, and build the future together. ⚓
