It’s so hard to write this because I don’t think words can fully describe how much FOX43, this job, and this community have meant to me.

Today, June 19, was my last day at the station, as I’ve accepted a new opportunity outside of news. ❤️

The morning team - we’re a tight-knit bunch. The early hours, the breaking news, the fun features... this team makes everything worth it. They are exactly as amazing in person as they are on TV. The kindness, the support, the mentorship, the friendships - I’m so incredibly grateful for it all. That’s why it was such a difficult decision to leave.

And to the community, our viewers, and those who woke up in the early hours to do live interviews with me - THANK YOU! You are all so incredible and mean the world to me.

This is certainly not an easy job, nor is it always a glamorous one, and the work local journalists are doing truly matters.

I’m super excited for this next adventure - and it won’t be far away! I’ll still be storytelling, just in a different way. 😊

Maple Lawn Farms is hosting their 5th Annual Lavender Festival this weekend and next weekend 😍

Visitors will be able to pick their own lavender bunches, listen to LIVE music, and eat lots of yummy foods - grilled cheese, lavender lemonade, lavender ice cream, and more!

New this year - they’re offering special “princess package” tickets for both kids and adults. They include a “purple swirly glitter drink” and a princess cookie.

They’re encouraging people to dress up and take pictures with the farm’s princess and queen this weekend!
