Finished this massive pergola just in time for the 4th! Measuring 28’ x 16’ over the pool and 18’ x 8’ on the patio, the primary objective was to provide optimal shade in the late afternoon when it is most used, thus building over the west end of the pool covers the entire pool w/shade by 4pm! With 8” x 8” posts and 2 x 12 header and joists, this was a workout to assemble and a fun challenge to design!
