Happy Thursday from the Junie B Jones babies π
Theyβre looking a lil crusty but currently getting eyedrops for their lil bacterial eye infection from being nasty lol. Still cute though!!! π
I trapped these little feral babies from a neighborhood overrun with an unfixed cat colony, and theyβve been getting to experience air conditioning for the first time. Tiny baby Beatrice is very skittish and prefers the company of her cuddly brother over humans, but Iβm still trying to work on her π ππ€
Good morning and happy Caturday from babies Ricardo and Jones π€π§‘
The kittens are beginning to feel safer in my presence and willing to eat with me in the room now. Controlling the food and ensuring that humans = tasty treats is a great tool in feral kitten socialization.
Day 1 with the Junie B. Jones litter π§‘π These kittens are 8 weeks old, born and raised outdoors by their young mama who was spayed this week.
These kittens had a caregiver who made sure they were fed, but they still have a long road to their socialization journey. Little miss Junie is the friendliest kitten BY FAR, but her 3 siblings, Jones, Beatrice, and Ricardo are going to have to learn to love humans π
π₯²
With feral kittens, itβs best to socialize them to humans as early as possible, but the window for taming them typically ends around 12 weeks old. Their little brains are so impressionable as they learn from their feral mamas and tap into their base instincts for survival.
Follow along to watch these babies get ready for adoption and come out of their shells! 𧑠if youβd like to send them some dinner or churu, check out the amazon wishlist in my bio!
