Calling all Philadelphia Area ultimate players! Come to our first ever FREE combine!!!!
The teams at .pt and have teamed up to offer a combine for ultimate players.
We will test power, speed, mobility, agility, and strength. This testing would normally cost hundreds of dollars, but on 12/8/24 it will be FREE!!!
This information allows you to know where your performance stacks up against the best.
It can help make a return to sport decision when coming back from an injury or discover asymmetries from injuries suffered long ago.
If you are on a training program, repeat assessments can tell you how much you have improved.

Failing to eat enough calories is a mistake that a lot of people make.
I think the advice is improving, and nutrition advice for the athlete is becoming more available, but it is hard to sort through all of the noise of nutrition advice.
A lot of nutrition advice focuses on eating a lot of healthy food which includes fruits and vegetables.
These are very nutrient dense foods, but not very caloric dense food, especially vegetables.
When training at a high volume like many ultimate players, it is easy to underfuel.
In this study, underfueling was 25 calories/kg body weight, and properly fueling was 50 calories/kg bodyweight.
Again, this is for very active females training 4-10x/week, so don't go stuffing your face with cheeseburgers and blame us when you gain 10 lbs of fat; BUT! if you are like many ultimate players and train hard and train a lot, please EAT!
