Forever 605 Day is a special reminder of why I love calling South Dakota home. It's where Larry and I built a life, raised our family, and made lifelong friendships. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!

It was wonderful to attend Girls State and spend time with these outstanding young women from across South Dakota. Larry spoke with the students about leadership, public service, and the importance of strong character. I know they will do great things for our state!

I loved seeing so many families come out to enjoy a morning of fishing in Watertown. Stocking this lake with bass brought plenty of excitement to both kids and adults. Larry and Kevin Robling may have been just as excited as the kids!

Sunday afternoon rodeo is the best when the weather is perfect, and you can see some family like a grandbaby, or a son and his wife on their anniversary, some cowboys we’re friends with, and the possibility of seeing our daughter-in-law for the last time before giving birth to their second daughter.💖

It was an honor to attend the Sixth Circuit Treatment Court Graduation and celebrate these individuals as they marked an incredible milestone in their recovery journey. Their determination, perseverance, and commitment to building a better future is truly inspiring.

Congratulations to each graduate on this well-deserved accomplishment!

Thank you to everyone who joined me for the First Lady’s Walk! It was a great afternoon spending time outside, getting active, and meeting new people.

It was wonderful to join this year’s Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics in Pierre and support such an amazing cause. It is always inspiring to see communities from across South Dakota come together to encourage and celebrate these incredible athletes.

Join me tomorrow for the First Lady’s Walk! We’ll meet at Hilger's Gulch at 3:00 PM for an afternoon walk and some fresh air.

Getting outside, staying active, and spending time together are all important for a healthy lifestyle, and I’d love to see you there. Bring a friend and come walk with us!

I’ve enjoyed implementing my initiative through school visits focused on cell phone use, recognizing outstanding South Dakotans through the Rising Star Awards, and bringing together trailblazing leaders to mentor and influence young trendsetters. Together, we are building an even better South Dakota.
