At Dentists on Wheels, we are deeply proud of our volunteers — the compassionate hearts and helping hands who make our mission possible. Each one of them brings kindness, dedication, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need.
Our volunteers not only assist with dental care; they become part of a movement rooted in service, mentorship, and humanity. Working side by side with experienced dentists, they learn the art of compassionate dentistry — how to treat patients with empathy, respect, and skill.
We take great pride in being role models and mentors to the next generation of dental professionals. Many of our volunteers are inspired to pursue dental school after working with us, and we support them every step of the way — providing training, guidance, and encouragement to follow their dreams.
Through their time with Dentists on Wheels, volunteers discover the true power of giving back. They see firsthand how a simple act of care — a smile, a restored tooth, a word of comfort — can touch the heart of someone in pain and remind them that there are still people in this world who care.

✨ Today was such a special day! I was so surprised and overjoyed to get a call from one of our amazing Dentists on Wheels volunteers, Melissa( She was like a daughter I never had). She’s been with us from the very beginning — helping with grants, working in the clinic, even watching my dogs 🐾 — always giving her heart in everything she does.
Melissa went on to pursue her dream at Midwestern University in Chicago 🦷, and now she’s in her final year of dental school! Hurrah! 🎉 Soon-to-be Dr. Melissa, we are so proud of you! It was wonderful reconnecting, reminiscing about all the good she’s done, and dreaming about what’s next.
We can’t wait to see her back with us after graduation, but for now, we celebrate this huge milestone. Thank you, Melissa, for all you’ve given to Dentists on Wheels and to the world. 💛 The future of dentistry is brighter with you in it!

🫶Board of Directors Spotlight: Dr. Neda Oromchian, DDS
Introducing Dr. Neda Oromchian, our dedicated Vice President and Dental Director at Dentists on Wheels. Dr. Neda earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. She quickly discovered a passion for pediatric dentistry, and has since devoted herself to providing compassionate general and pediatric dental care wherever she’s needed. Combining her love for children with her artistic flair, she also founded ABC Art Class, a virtual space for kids to explore their creativity. Dr. Neda is our fearless leader in the dental clinic at Dentists on Wheels enabling us to provide exceptional dental care to all patients in need!
