Some of the most important work in health care happens behind the scenes.

Risk management professionals help organizations navigate complex situations, support teams across the company, and contribute to processes that strengthen patient care and operational excellence. Their work often requires collaboration, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to respond to new challenges every day.

During , we are proud to recognize Asten Pacellio, Risk Management Specialist at Wexford Health.

When asked what she enjoys most about being part of the risk management team, Asten highlighted the strong support system within the department and the collaborative environment that helps the team successfully manage a wide range of responsibilities.

We are grateful for Asten's dedication and for the important contributions she makes to both her team and our organization every day.

Last week, correctional professionals from across the country came together in Chandler, Arizona, for JAILCON26 West to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore the challenges and opportunities shaping today's correctional environments.

Wexford Health was proud to be represented by our National Medical Director Pracha Peter Eamranond, MD MPH, our Arizona Health Services Administrators Becky Payne, Mike Borup, Richard Meloche, and Jessica Narvaiz, along with Manager of Jail Operations Carey Harris.

Throughout the conference, attendees participated in discussions focused on leadership, training, facility operations, and the evolving needs of correctional facilities. Events like JAILCON provide valuable opportunities to learn from industry peers, gain new perspectives, and bring back insights that can help support teams and operations long after the conference ends.

Thank you to the organizers, speakers, and attendees who made JAILCON26 West a success. We appreciate the opportunity to be part of the conversation and look forward to carrying those insights back to the teams and facilities we support every day.

At Mt. Olive Correctional Facility, quality care does not happen by accident, it happens because of the people behind it.

Every day, this team works together to keep care moving inside an environment that requires adaptability, communication, and trust in one another. From patient care and mental health services to the coordination happening behind the scenes, every role plays a part in making sure patients receive consistent, compassionate care.

Correctional health care comes with challenges that most people never see, but this team continues to show up with professionalism, resilience, and a shared commitment to the work they do. They support one another through fast-paced days, changing situations, and the responsibility that comes with caring for patients inside a correctional setting.

The people in this photo represent more than a team. They represent experience, dedication, and the daily effort it takes to make a difference inside the facility every single day. Thank you to the team at Mt. Olive Correctional Facility for the care, commitment, and teamwork you bring to correctional health care.
