In honor of Women’s History Month, the Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra is proud to present a concert celebrating the extraordinary contributions of women in music — past and present.

We get to listen to a brilliant interpretation of Patricia Moya’s masterpiece “Idee Fixe” by Eftihia Victoria Arkoudis, a world-class flutist.

We will also feature (first time in Pittsburgh) the excellent and contrasting works of two Mexican composers: Nubia Jaime-Donjuan and Estrella Cabildo.

The Inspirata String Quartet will open the night with the exciting and celebrated “Juba” by African-American female composer, Florence Price and we’ll close the night with the famous “Carmen”, that you’ve probably heard about.

‼️ switching gears from Maestro Pinzon to Maestro Tango

The debut night was one for the books!!!

The PSO is a marvelous orchestra and I had the privilege to sit (and play) among them.

If you can spot me in the group photo, I’ll give you a Valentine’s hug! 😜

Thank you, Jim Cunningham, for the interview and for letting me introduce the bandoneon to your WQED audience. Always a pleasure to talk with you.

Two more shows this weekend… I better go practice!

I’ll be heading to Heinz Hall shortly for my first concert (of 3) with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra!!!

‼️ Switching gears from Maestro Pinzon to Maestro Tango…

It is an absolute pleasure and honor to share with friends close and afar that an organization of such prestige as the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has called on me for a solo performance on the bandoneon as part of Arturs Maskats’ “Tango.”

This event takes place on Valentines weekend so either come alone or bring your significant other and enjoy this wonderful program with me.

I’ve been to Heinz Hall numerous times. Now, I get to sit on stage 3 times as part of such an emblematic orchestra in a superb concert venue.

THANK YOU 🙌
