⚡ Troubleshooting Experts in Action! ⚡

A customer reached out to us about a partial power outage affecting different areas of their home. Our skilled electrician arrived on-site, quickly set up our wire locator, and got to work.

The issue wasn’t where the outage occurred, which surprised the customer. Instead, we traced it back to a loose connection inside a receptacle in an unaffected room. The wires had shifted just enough to disrupt power to multiple areas down the line.

After explaining the issue to the customer, showing them what had happened and how we were going to fix it, our electrician got their power back up and fully operational!

Another service call completed, another happy customer!

🔥 It's Fire Prevention Week! 🔥
As the weather cools down, it's the perfect time to ensure your home or business is protected from electrical fires. Here are some essential safety tips to help keep you safe:

1. Never use space heaters with extension cords! They can easily overheat and cause a fire. Always plug them directly into a wall outlet.

2. Replace old or worn-out outlets. Loose connections in outlets can lead to overheating and dangerous fire hazards.

3. Avoid overloading your circuits. Don’t plug too many devices into a single outlet or power strip, as this can lead to overheating and fires.

4. Inspect your electrical wiring regularly. Flickering lights, burning smells, or buzzing sounds are all warning signs of faulty wiring that need immediate attention.

5. Use certified electricians for repairs and installations. DIY electrical work can create long-term safety risks. Always hire a professional to ensure the job is done safely and correctly.

6. Check your smoke detectors. Make sure they're in working order, especially in rooms where electrical appliances are used. Don’t have any smoke detectors? No problem! We can install wireless, interconnected smoke detectors with a 10-year battery in your home for added peace of mind.

🔧 At Multiple Solutions Pittsburgh, we see electrical hazards like these every week, and we’re here to help keep you safe! Below are a few photos of what we’ve encountered.

Stay warm, stay safe, and take steps now to prevent fires!
