I love creating visionary portraits of pets (people too!). It’s fun to show people what I see when I envision their beloved beings in my head.

side notes n thoughts
Their is always a reference photo that I like to sit and meditate on, I’ll stare at it and it blink and then I’ll blur my vision and refocus it...sometimes i take entheogens and close my eyes with the being in my head til I see the general picture. It always evolves once brush meets canvas . Painting portraits semi intuitively is neat because it’s fascinating to see what the painting reveals rather than control the outcome all the time . Sometimes I don’t even know what is happening til I step back! There are a lot of times I’m painting completely blind, just vision blurred when rendering small details...
Do you folks do any of these things when you are making art? Any other neat suggestions that are fun to implement when painting ?

to my first visit to . I was chosen by & to be 1 of 14 pARTicipants to study in a 7 day visionary painting intensive in 2015!
This was time when I felt very lost as an artist. My art didn’t seem to fit in with the norm. Subject matter was too out there or just too focused on . was so different. Being in an environment with so many like minds confirming that the mission of creating transformative / visionary was important.
It’s been amazing to watch the world become more in alignment with visionary art & see more people creating art! Thank you for encouraging me because it opened me up to this incredible heARTistic commUNITY / tribe. @ COSM Chapel of Sacred Mirrors

“Natural Destruction”
Destruction seems to be a natural occurrence the more humans become further removed from nature. Wars have been waged for centuries but the war of today is more evolved. It seems the more we have become immersed into this new technological world we have also been distancing ourselves a bit further from our humanity, distracting & desensitizing some from the darker truths that need the most light shined on it. THIS IS CHANGING! There are people out there using tech to launch platforms that spark awakening, transformation, and empowerment in communities(like the ). We are creators and we have the power to choose to create a better world and use the innovations of today as tools to build a brighter future.
What do you like to do help spark change? From Having conversations , sharing a smile, or listening to music and lectures, every thing helps. I like to wield my ARTsenals to creART heARTwork that helps to spark conversations about subjects ranging from cannabis, psychedelics, corruption, animals, and health.
