Reposted from Today is a day of remembrance. 1,354,664+ Americans have died serving this country. They do it for various reasons, service, brotherhood, belief in this country's freedoms, ultimately though.. they gave their life and their future for the rest of us. We owe them something that no words will convey..Thank you does not even come close. Every man and woman back to the beginning, those who started this country because they wanted something better, the ones who fought fellow Americans to change this country, those who stepped on foreign soil in WW1, those who stormed beaches in Normandy, Iwo Jima and every piece of soil in Europe and the South Pacific to those in Korea and the Jungles of Vietnam, to the deserts of the Middle East , the mountains of Afghanistan and every where else and all the places and operations not mentioned or too secret for us to know...speak their names and tell their stories then they are never forgotten, live a life that is worthy of their sacrifice and celebrate in a manner that would do them honor. I raise a glass in your honor and promise to be a better human.
