What an incredible day at Linden PreK-5!

We were honored to welcome Mayor Corey O'Connor to Linden today for a truly memorable visit with our 5th-grade students. Mayor O'Connor spent time answering thoughtful questions from our future leaders, touring our school, and sharing his vision for the future of Pittsburgh.

Our students had the opportunity to hear firsthand about the work being done to make Pittsburgh a city where they will want to stay, build careers, raise families, and call home for years to come. The Mayor's message of hope, opportunity, and investment in the next generation left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

A very special thank you goes to Ms. Anderson, our amazing paraprofessional, whose persistence and determination helped make this visit happen. Sometimes being a little pushy pays off! We are also incredibly grateful to Mr. Cambridge, the Mayor's Special Assistant, for coordinating the visit and ensuring everything came together seamlessly.

At Linden, we believe that providing students with opportunities to engage directly with community leaders helps them see the possibilities that exist for their future. Today was a perfect example of that belief in action.

We are already looking forward to welcoming Mayor O'Connor back to Linden in the fall for a Family Event Night that is sure to be an amazing celebration of our school and community.
