XSquared Media co-founders Sara Bauknecht and Natalie Bencivenga had an amazing time during the second annual Keystone Local News Summit!
Both had the opportunity to participate in various ways: Natalie emceed part of the Summit, and Sara represented XSquared Media to provide updates after winning a 2025 microgrant.
Because of that grant, XSquared Media laid the communication infrastructure for the launch of the Keystone Local News Coalition, which Sara and Natalie helped announce at the event.
The Keystone Local News Coalition has four goals that will guide its work:
🔵 Consolidating statewide journalism advocacy efforts into one cohesive message.
🔵 Raising community awareness of the importance of access to trusted local news and information.
🔵 Mobilizing residents to advocate for their access to reliable information at the local level.
🔵 Identifying gaps in Pennsylvania’s information ecosystem and presenting findings to legislators and other community stakeholders across the Commonwealth.
Sara and Natalie also both participated in leading a networking panel for young professionals, as well as celebrated Natalie's birthday (with cake and all)!
Did you meet us at the summit? Send us a message and learn how we can help elevate your brand!
