Dance teachers… I’m not exaggerating when I say this might be the best thing I’ve found all season 😩🔥

After a full weekend of competition, conventions, and teaching… your body is DONE.

And then I found this massage chair at Bob’s Discount Furniture 👀

Game. Changer.

Not sponsored… but Bob, I’m ready when you are 😉

🚗 Car Talk

Something I don’t think we talk about enough in the dance world…

The pressure for teachers to always be “on.”

High energy.
Positive.
Motivating.
Focused.

And most days, I genuinely love walking into the studio and being with the kids.

But if I’m being honest… there are days where I sit in my car for a minute before going in just trying to reset my nervous system.

Trying to put the stress aside.
Trying to put the grief aside.
Trying to show up as the version of myself my students deserve.

Dance teachers carry a lot.

We carry choreography, corrections, and creativity… but we also carry the emotional energy of our students, their families, studio expectations, competition pressures, and the responsibility of shaping young artists.

And sometimes that weight is heavy.

You can love what you do deeply… and still have moments where it feels overwhelming.

Both things can be true.

So if you’re a dance teacher or studio owner who has ever felt that quiet moment of dread before walking into the studio… you’re not alone.

Maybe it’s time we start talking about educator mental health in the dance industry a little more openly. 💛
