Well, the Great Blizzard of '26 is past. (At least the first, and hopefully only one.) Looks like about 12 inches here, although it's a littgle hard to tell. Lots of drifting, so it ranges from a dusting to about 18 inches.
We're just abut dug out. Public sidewalks are cleared. (I even cleared the criosswalks at the corner. I'm a Good Guy.) One driveway is good enough to get a car out if we need to go somewhere. I'll get to the other one later today. Walks within the lot will get xcleared later today as well.
I's bloody COLD out there. Currently 17F, so we're in serious frostbite territory. That, of course, cuts down the time I'm willing to work outdoors at one stretch.
The cold has had minimal impact, other than limiting how long I can safely work on the snow. The water feed to the dishwasher froze up. (I need to address that. Low priority item It'll wait for a day of three. Pulling the kick panel and a judicious application of a hair dryier solves the problem s for the short term.)
Everyone stay swafe and warm. This storm ain't foolin' around.
In other news, the album Under Cover is nearing completion. Thisone has been in the works for quite a while now, and I'm just abnout ready to turn it loose. As the name implaies, it's mostly a collection of cover songs. Artwork for the cover is still under development, and I want to listen tot hte tracks one more time to make sure I'm satisfoed with them before releasing the album
I'm also making progress of two other albums:: Oringinally, and Christmas the Parody, Volume 2.
The first of those is a collection of DruidSong originals. They're mostly Celtic themed, and rangefrom celebratiosn of my Celtic heritage to love songs to a memorium for a friend that died recently.
The first Christmas parody album was so well received that I decided to work up a second round of parodies of Christmas songs. It's great fun, and I'm looking forward to releeasing that one late in 2026.
Progress on the new albums is slowd a bit by the fact that my rsudio engineer is no longer locval. I can no lnger just drive over to the studio to record, but must record at hime, ship things over the internet for him to work on, get them back to review, and send back comments for "tweaks" to hi,m. It makes the process more time consuming.
