HUGE THANK YOU to all the artists tagged in this post. Their music has been a major inspiration for this record. We put together a jam sesh of some of the songs that helped inspire Ghosts in the Field. You can hear a few inspirations, then our song to get a real feel of the vibe we tried to create.

Music with a mission
Grown in the fertile soil that is Indie rock and watered with light beer, Chicago based band, Each Day, started in the summer of 2018. The band consists of Taylor Oechsel (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, main songwriter), Christopher Marszalek (drums, producer), Nick Stubblefield (lead guitar) and Chris Oechsel (bass).
The year they started, over 30 songs were written and the band headed for recording. Five of those songs became their first few independently released singles that cover the idea of what Each Day is--musically intriguing while lyrically raw. As far as genre goes, Each Day sits nicely somewhere between Folk and Alternative. With influences ranging from Dawes to Sublime to Phoebe Bridgers, it’s no wonder they have created their own unique sound. The rest...is still to come.
Over the course of a year, the band played for hundreds of ears, started working on their new record, and created a vlog for people to get to know them better. The future holds great things for Each Day. With plenty of gigs lined up and collaborations with some of the industry’s brightest minds, the band continues to follow their mission: help the world feel a little less lonely.
