Supporting womxn led, womxn owned is one of our core values. ⁣

So why the x?⁣
Replacing the y with the x means including trans womxn, womxn of color, and nonbinary folx.⁣

I think the ‘x’ creates a space for women and femme folks that aren’t cis women. Meaning it tells people that ALL women-identifying people are welcome and part of the Gumption community.⁣

Websites that Convert
⚡️⚡️⚡️
Let’s talk CTAs and Buttons. Can you have too many? Are buttons + CTAs mutually exclusive? And when do you simply use words on an image or an actual button to get someone to click?⁣ Do they have to big bright buttons?

Let’s start with the basics—⁣

➡️Full Explanation Required: If your client needs a little more guidance than the average, you might use a button that actually says “click here to...” and it’s explains exactly what that button does and the next step they’ll take. In this case, they click a button if they have a question and it’ll send an email/redirect to a contact page.⁣
➡️ Sales CTA: If you’re looking for a direct purchase, common action names are straight to the point. Examples such as “Reserve Your Spot”, “Book Now”, “Schedule”, “Purchase”. But let’s say they’re still not sure, even after you’ve given them a clear path to purchase—before they leave the page make sure there’s a clear way for them to inquire and reach out to you.⁣
➡️Image with Text as a CTA: Younger generations often have a more clear sense that an image without a defined button can be clicked. Chalk it up to the fact that they share the same birth year as the iPhone3.⁣

When you’re building a site, you want clear CTAs for your clientele. Who your clientele is, how they interact, and the journey to purchase matters. In the fit-world we often have a large range of clients. So ensuring you have a combination of clear call to actions (get on your email list, buy a class, book a private, etc) is important.⁣

And what’s most important? Checking to see if those CTAs are actually working. We’ll go over how to analyze buttons and make them more effective next.⁣

Adding style that amps up your brand + also acts as a CTA (that’s call to action if you didn’t already already know) helps take your brand experience to the next level.⁣ And the use of CTAs that grab attention are clicked more often.

Adding code snippets can also make your site flow and feel more dynamic rather than the obvious flat-basic-starter templates.⁣

Ready to take your site up a notch?⁣

I’m taking on two more clients this month where you spend one full day with me to help make your website stand out + CONVERT.⁣

PS this week I’m sharing different types of CTAs + where they should live.

How would you define “Brave?”
〰️
Being brave means a lot of things. To me it’s being honest with who you are, honoring your life experiences, not ignoring the hard stuff, taking back the power from painful experiences. It’s fearing less—not being fearless.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Being brave has taken on a new meaning. For some it’s standing side by side while being threatened for peaceful protest. Being tear gassed. Rubber bullets flying in the middle of the day. And still—Marching for equity. Marching for human rights. Marching because Black Lives Matter.⁣

We all have different ways of showing up. Of leading our own life rather than following. And that may mean quiet versus loud. Soft versus hard. Marching vs staying inside.⁣

There is beauty in each of us discovering this of ourselves, finding our own path. There is beauty in diversity. No is asking you to choose, only discover. To listen and do your work. You can in fact be both: bold and assertive —⁣⁣quiet with an aversion to the stage.⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Conversation can not occur in a silent room, nor in a screaming crowd.⁣⁣ But a crowd united—Say Her Name. Say His Name. That has power.⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Sit with that. Feel that.⁣

The loudest person in the room does not single handedly hold the power. Showing up as yourself has power. Listen to that little voice of fear and anxiety and tell it you’ve got this. And show up — messy, soft, hard, loud. Whoever you are. There is room for all of us.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Today I’m listening to the voice that says —there is power in rest. Take a beat. Channel energy back into yourself.⁣
⁣⁣⁣
You’ve got this.

Sit down, and get a little dirty.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
You don't need to have the most expensive leggings in the room, every single hair perfectly styled, or make up done in order to teach the best class of your career.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
But you know what? If those things make you FEEL better -- more confident, strong, and able to tackle your day -- Then do the damn thang. You don't need to water yourself down to speak to, and resonate with, your people.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
When I say get down and dirty, I mean DO THE WORK. Decide what you want and figure out how you're going to get there. ⁣⠀
⁣⠀
If you're feeling stuck, let me help you with a Vision and Strategy Meeting. You may be surprised at what we discover together to get you unstuck and kicking ass.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
This isn't just another generic webinar with an upsell, or 5 Hacks for Success -- this is us talking about what YOU want, and how to best get you there.⁣⠀

A business doesn't stop running because you're exhausted. Or does it?⁣⠀
⁣⠀
This may be early — but it's relevant every day.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
April is Stress Awareness Month and I'm here to tell you that this past weekend seriously kicked my ass. I lost one of the best souls I've encountered in this life, and while I mourn this loss I realized I felt guilty for taking a mental health day. Or two... I let the to-do list sit there.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
That guilt just compounded the stress.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
As someone who advocates for others to set their boundaries, to find limits in the chaos, I was proud of myself to sticking to it -- guilt or not. As a do-er, the act of sitting with things is difficult but it must be done.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
The thing about grief is you have to look at it, respect it, and feel — not shove it down in a box. Trust me, I've tried.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
We are givers and we HAVE to set limits, because other people will not do that for us. The client, to do list, phone call — whatever it is, it'll all be there tomorrow for you to tackle. So if your body is telling you to stop, and sit with your feelings, then do it.⁣ Sometimes we thrive by taking a step back.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
It's sunny today in the Bay, and I'm sitting in it — feeling it on my skin, the sounds of the streets, and people laughing outside. My weight of it all feels heavy in my chest but I sit with it anyway, going down that to-do list at my own pace. This is how we heal.⁣⠀
