One of our friends and a fellow sent us this awesome video. Which gives us the perfect excuse, now that we're into the season of Thanksgiving, to talk about some of the reasons we need to thank our local Beaver populations.
Beaver dams clean water by creating a natural filtration system that slows down water flow, this allows sediment to settle into the bottom of the pond or the dam itself. They also promote microbial processes that break down contaminants. Their ponds also help recharge , improving water quality downstream and substantially builds up our local .

Interesting bit of Idaho history gobbled up by DOGE.
The first film made in Idaho was headed back to the big screen. Then DOGE intervened - High Country News When a large-scale restoration effort was halted by feds, history could not be forced back into the archives.
