This Holley Performance Products project will not be completed for some time, but while I was out in Pomona, CA in 2012 I took a few moments to stop by Walden Speed Shop and see what projects Bobby was working on at the time.

One way or another this 1987 Grand Prix is going through quite the metamorphosis from "Grandma's grocery getter" to the Pro-Touring powerhouse in these photos.

Under the hood lies what one might think is a conventional LSA engine. Further inspection reveals the 7.0 liter (as opposed to 6.2) and T/A logos on the top of the supercharger, which hint at something more.

This engine has been worked over by the capable hands of Brian Thomson at Thomson Automotive. This engine puts out over 770 horsepower at 6200 rpms and boasts a staggering 824.6 lb. ft. of torque.

It will be interesting to see whether the 335 series Pilot Sports will be able to cope with the abundance of power this vehicle will be putting to the ground.
