Ponte Vedra Ocean Rescue

Congratulations to the 2019 rookie class for completing their final portion of training, “The Gauntlet”. We are excited to have such a motivated group joining us this summer!

The newest members of Ponte Vedra Ocean rescue. Congratulations to the rookie class of 2018 who finished their “gauntlet” workout today. I’d estimate that by the end of it they swam around 2 miles, ran 5 and did over 3 hours of calisthenics. The citizens of Ponte Vedra should feel very safe knowing they are being guarded by the best of the best.

Our very own Lieutenant Supervisor Chris H has been nominated for employee of the quarter! We are all very proud to work beside the best in public safety. Good luck at your nominee dinner tonight!

Summer is closing in quick and Ponte Vedra Ocean Rescue is ready with some new rookie guards. They finish their training with the “gauntlet day” workout Saturday May 19th, wave if you see them on the beach! Pictures from July 4th, 2017.
