Sharks are a common dissection specimen in vertebrate anatomy courses for learning about cranial nerves (sharks have 10 of the 12 cranial nerves that humans have). But identifying the nerves and the foramina (holes) that they pass through can be confusing.

To help with this, we've created a new annotated model of a spiny chondrocranium (the braincase) with labels for all of the cranial nerve foramina! Check it out at https://3danatomystudios.com/models/dogfish-models/digital-model-of-the-left-chondrocranium-of-a-dogfish-shark/

SICB 2025 in Atlanta last month was a success!

More than 70 people stopped by to check out our shark skull kit, to give input on the prototype of our next product, or just to say 'hi'!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and can't wait to see you all again in Portland next year!
