Stay in touch with your drivers. Let them know they’re valued and not just another number on a board. Sometimes it’s not about loads or schedules—sometimes it’s just checking in, saying hi, and asking if they need anything.

Whether they’re OTR or local, that small effort goes a long way. I’ve been thanked more than once for simply caring—and that says everything.
