It was with a sense of deep appreciation and pride that we stood in front of the sold out Mission Theatre last Saturday. The premiere of “Sharks in the Freshwater” was a warm coming together of our community. We are grateful for everyone who attended. You spent your time, money, and energy to support us… Or at least see what all the fuss was about.
We celebrated a historic event. We achieved the first successful deployment of a satellite tag on an anadromous fish in Oregon.
We’re just some fishing guides. We’ve all struggled, like you have, like anadromous fish have. We come from a broken homes. We’re kicked out of schools. Worked low level low wage jobs. We’re “the help”. Still, with a genuine care of others we made it on stage to talk about our work. Our community showed up for us. We raised a grip of cash and were able to achieve more than we ever imagined. We are elated! Thanks again for your outpouring of love PDX. We’re proud to know you. .gutt Photos by .
