For several years, 350PDX has enjoyed access to a big space at the back of the Rebuilding Center at 3639 N Mississippi Ave. And we love the space! The Arts Team has amazing art builds in it, we host our monthly Action Nights and quarterly Shade Equity Socials there, and we host trainings there such as our Organizing 101 in January. We also support our community allies like Sunrise PDX by giving them access to the space to hold meetings and events there.

We don't want to lose this crucial space that has become a hub for the 350PDX and larger climate justice community. However, the future of the space is at a crossroads. We could either be securing the space as a long-lasting 350PDX community resource, or we could lose access to it altogether.

We need your help right now to make sure we keep our event space available into the future. Can you chip in a one-time donation today?

🌲🌲 We're excited to announce a BIG win: the Oregon Board of Forestry adopted the Habitat Conservation Plan for Western Oregon State Forests! 🌲🌲

We need healthy forests now more than ever — to provide clean water for local communities, habitat for threatened species, and a line of defense against the climate crisis — and passing the Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) is a critical step in that direction.

Once implemented, the HCP will protect essential habitat for 17 imperiled species of salmon and wildlife on 640,000 acres of Oregon state forests by establishing buffers protecting forests from clearcutting, and creating Habitat Conservation Areas for species dependent on mature forests, like the marbled murrelet, coastal marten, and spotted owl.

Over the past few years, hundreds of Oregonians have called on the Board of Forestry to pass a robust HCP. Together, we've sent emails, signed petitions, submitted testimony, and more. Thank you for being part of this work!

Join us Wed, March 20, from 6-8pm in the 350PDX Office (3639 N Mississippi Ave) for a Portland City Council Candidate Meet & Greet!

➡️ RSVP @ bit.ly/2024actionnights ⬅️

As the legislative session wrapped up over the weekend, we're now turning our attention to mobilizing climate justice voters for the Portland City Council elections! Join us on March 20, 6–8pm, for an exciting launch of our work in this area. We’ll have a candidate meet + greet with over 20 city council candidates agreeing to attend, representing every district!

This will be our Action Night for March (we host action nights monthly). We’ll have dinner and drinks available, and you’ll have a chance to meet candidates and hear what they care about in relation to climate justice in Portland. You can also share what’s important to you as a voter in their district.

Please invite friends to attend this with you! We want to show candidates the strength of the climate justice vote. We also want to start building up momentum and excitement for the potential we have ahead of us this year, to make a positive change in our city leadership in the transition to a new form of voting and new city council districts!
