As promised, here’s a complete portrait of the beautiful business cards I got to make for .tusk ! Being surrounded by people taking charge and making a living doing things that make them happy is something I really love about midcoast Maine and my life in Belfast, and that includes Nora and her cute shop for sure!

July’s “make mail more fun” prompt is one of my very favorites - STAMPS! I love them because each one is a little tiny artwork that can add color & visual interest to your letters, and even a kind of hidden personal message for the recipient. I have some thoughts about them that I’d like to share with you this month, but if also love to know if you have any questions about stamps, vintage or otherwise!

Our Story
In 2015 I had the privilege of taking a typography and letterpress printing class with Barry Moser, a distinguished artist and fine human being, who taught me the craft of printing with much care and reverence. I spent all the time I could in the print shop, a magical place filled with cabinets of lead type, spools of string, and beautiful pages of printed words.
Upon graduating (aka being kicked out of the print shop) I wanted to continue to learn and create, so I bought a small Craftsman 5x8 press which now lives in the basement of my dear friend’s house in Belfast, Maine. I've named it Squeezebox Press in honor of my other favorite object/hobby, my little button accordion! I use it to make stationery, postcards, posters, broadsides, and whatever else anyone wants to have pressed beautifully onto nice paper. I also occasionally use my art to raise funds and awareness for issues I care about.
