OUR STORY
The Northwest Q***r Chorus began when Landon Shimek, Executive Director, attended the Gay and Le***an Association (GALA) quadrennial international choral festival in 2016. As he listened to choruses from around the world, a vision began to form for an American Q***r Chorus that could perform at GALA 2020. After two years of background work, Landon’s dream has become a reality. To our knowledge, we are the first self-identified Q***r Chorus in the United States.
The Northwest Q***r Chorus is committed to presenting high-quality concerts that encourage curiosity and communication between people of widely varied backgrounds.
