Good Tuesday morning - here is the latest outlook from the Storm Prediction Center. The main idea is unchanged; severe thunderstorms are likely in the mountains and north, and some may make it to the coast late as well.

We have some clouds moving through this morning, mixed with wildfire smoke adding some haze too. There is one cluster of storms already coming south out of Quebec at 9am that could bring a random shower or storm to the north this morning. These clouds should break apart some by the middle of the day with hazy sunshine; lower 90s are still likely in southern and central Maine this afternoon. It will not be as hot farther east and north.

The broad window of time for severe storms will be between 6 p.m. and midnight from north to south.

Damaging wind gusts and hail continue to be the main threats. There is a risk for a tornado too in any supercells. The SPC is highlighting Oxford, Franklin, Somerset and Piscataquis counties in particular for a somewhat higher risk of seeing a tornado today, *if* we see supercells with rotation as opposed to lines of storms, which would be more likely to produce wind.

We continue to be concerned about anyone camping, hiking, or in an area with poor cell coverage. Get in touch with any family and friends to make sure they have a way to get warnings, and secure shelter if need be.
