Trying to wrap my mind around this swirling array of colors and the unlikely chance of there being any animals at all on this barren desert I call home. I haven’t seen a bird in nearly 10 years living in the sand for the past two decades. If there was a bird! Could there be more life out there?
The whisping sound of cloth behind me, a swift and demanding voice calls out.
“Cici! You’re going to be left behind!”…My sister Miranda interrupted my thoughts.
Her voice brought me back to the moment. This is a very important day.
