Laurie Palmer is a powerful force of healing, transformation, and community leadership. As a mother, survivor, life coach, and activist, she has turned her deepest pain into a lifelong mission to help others reclaim their lives, restore their families, and rise boldly into their purpose. Her journey has shaped her voice, sharpened her vision, and positioned her as one of the most authentic and impactful leaders serving Black and Brown communities today.

Laurie is the Founder and CEO of the Go Get Your Child Community Gun Violence Prevention Coalition, a movement rooted in lived experience, cultural understanding, and the belief that every family deserves safety, healing, and hope. Her work centers mothers, youth, and families who have been impacted by gun violence — supporting them through crisis, grief, advocacy, and rebuilding. She understands these struggles intimately and uses that truth to meet people where they are, without judgment and without fear.

As the Founder of the Bossed Up Academy Life Coaching Center, Laurie brings transformational coaching to individuals seeking breakthroughs in the core areas of their lives — relationships, health, career, spirituality, and mindset. Through her holistic approach, clients learn how to set boundaries, release trauma, develop self-love, rebuild stability, and become the healed, focused, empowered versions of themselves they were created to be.

Laurie is also the host of the Bossed Up Mondays Podcast, where she speaks with raw honesty, humor, and heart about the realities of healing, womanhood, community struggles, and the journey of becoming “bossed up” from the inside out. Her voice reaches people where they are and helps them find strength in their own stories.

Her mission is deeply rooted in lived experience leadership — the belief that people who have walked through the fire carry the wisdom needed to guide others out of it. Laurie’s story reflects resilience, restoration, and a refusal to let adversity define her future or silence her voice. Today, she uses her testimony to help mothers rebuild after loss, guide young people toward purpose, support survivors through healing, and train community members in leadership, advocacy, and self-transformation.
