We honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our freedom. May their legacy of courage never be forgotten...as we approach Memorial Day, replacement American flags are available at the cemetery for family lots if needed, and a receptacle is also provided for the respectful retirement of worn or faded flags.

A quiet morning visitor outside our Redwood Mausoleum and Chapel reminds us how beautifully nature and remembrance coexist here. Located in the southwest section of the cemetery, the Redwood complex offers options for both community entombment and inurnment. Designed by Haynes de Boer Associates, in a variation of English Country Gothic and Arts and Crafts Movement styles, the building blends harmoniously with the cemetery’s earlier historic architecture while providing a serene and dignified place for reflection. The seven foot wide circle sculpture "Colure" by renowned contemporary glass artist, Daniel Clayman, stands as a universal symbol of hope, and life continuity.

Meet the Dogwoods! Our native flowering dogwood, Cornus florida, produces brilliant red fruits that provide an important food source for migrating birds in the fall — in fact, they contain one of the highest fat contents among fruit-bearing trees. We’re also fortunate to have the rare Cornus florida ‘pleno flora,’ a stunning double-flowered dogwood. Its lush blooms are sterile, meaning the flower parts that would normally produce offspring have been genetically modified into extra petals, creating its extraordinary, layered appearance. Happy Flower Friday!🌸
