Obsolete, dangerous K**b and Tube wiring in a New Jersey wiring which I inspected 8th February 2010. K**b and tube (K&T) wiring is dangerous primarily because it lacks a grounding wire, uses old, brittle insulation prone to failing, and cannot handle modern high-power electrical loads, creating high fire and electric shock risks. It was phased out in the 1940s and often violates modern safety codes.
