Spend an entire week creating, learning, and having fun with five incredible classes taught by talented local instructors and mentors.

🧶 Monday: Get Hooked on Crochet
🧸 Tuesday: Sew the Blessing Bear
🇺🇸 Wednesday: Learn the Flag Quilt Square with Adams County’s own Sew N’ Sews quilters.
👗 Thursday: Turn a pillowcase into an adorable skirt with pockets.
💄 Friday: Sew a lined makeup bag with a zipper from one of our talented instructors—who’s just 15 years old!

These classes are designed for independent sewers and students who have completed our beginner sewing classes. Please bring your portable sewing machine if you have one. A limited number of classroom machines are available.

There are volunteers… and then there are blessings like Sue.

As a small nonprofit, every dollar we receive goes toward our mission of teaching the art of sewing. Fancy marketing materials, glossy brochures, and professional business cards have always felt like things we’d have “someday”—when we could afford them.

Well… thanks to Sue, “someday” came anyway.

She used her talents, her connections, and her generous heart to make sure Sewessentials looks as professional as the work we’re doing. She somehow made what we thought was impossible become reality, and we are so incredibly grateful.

This isn’t the first time Sue has stepped up for us. She joined Sewessentials during a season when we were cleaning house in more ways than one. I’ll admit, I had been praying for a young marketing student looking to gain experience.

God had a much better plan.

He sent Sue.

She understands people. She understands fairs, community events, and what catches someone’s attention. Most importantly, she understands how to serve without seeking recognition. Time after time, she has quietly shared her gifts to help Sewessentials grow and reach more people.

Sue, thank you for believing in our mission, for seeing possibilities where we saw limitations, and for helping us present ourselves in a way that reflects the heart behind this ministry. Your kindness, generosity, and willingness to give of yourself have made a difference that will impact countless children and families.
