New Jersey's wind power usage will increase substantially, however, as state regulators approved P.S.E.G.'s proposal to build 96 offshore turbines in the Atlantic Ocean that are located 16-20 miles off the coast. This is a large part of New Jersey's Energy Master Plan which hopes to have 20% of the states energy come from renewable resources by 2020.
