Mike’s mortgage career began in 1992 in Monmouth County, New Jersey, where he was born and raised. He entered the industry at Patriot Mortgage, starting as a loan processor before quickly moving into sales—an early foundation that gave him a true end-to-end understanding of the lending process.

Over more than three decades, Mike has built experience across every facet of real estate and mortgage lending, from traditional home purchases to construction loans, building homes from the ground up, and land subdivision. His career spans large national banks including Wells Fargo and PNC, smaller brokerages, and ownership of Shoreview Mortgage, which operated under a corporate banking platform through HCI.

That journey ultimately led him to New American Funding – Force Lending, where he found the balance he values most: big-lender strength paired with personal service and accountability.

Service has always been central to Mike’s life. He spent 16 years as a volunteer firefighter in Holmdel, concluding as Fire Company President, and 18 years as a volunteer youth football coach.

While his primary focus is residential lending, Mike also completes select commercial transactions each year. What defines his approach is education, communication, and calm—especially for first-time buyers. As he puts it, “When you understand the process, you remove the fear.”

BEHIND THE SCENES: The Story Behind a Sold Sign 🏰✨

Some sales demand more than strategy. They demand heart, grit, and absolute determination.
This was one of them.

This is the story of Casa De Colts, a near 13,000 sq ft gated estate in Holmdel, and the journey that brought this iconic property back to life and ultimately, to closing.

When we took on this listing, it had already been on the market for an extensive period. The clients had previously been advised that vacating the home would help it show better. Instead, what we walked into was a majestic, sprawling estate sitting bare; no furniture, just traces of the life and memories it once held.

We knew immediately:
This home needed its soul restored.

So we went in with a bold and ambitious plan.

• We hired movers to bring the furniture back.
• Brought in a stager to accessorize and return warmth to each room.
• Scheduled cleaning crews for a full refresh.
• And Will, the co-listing agent, personally put in over 100 hours of labor, from touch-up painting to replacing 200 lightbulbs, to make sure every detail shined.

And we didn’t stop there.

To create buzz, we hired entertainment and curated a broker and public event that would be groundbreaking. Promotions generated nearly 80,000 views on Instagram alone. Only to cancel the event when a cash buyer arrived on the scene.

But real estate is real life. Deals fall through. And this one did.

Still, we went right back to work.

And today, after multiple challenging rounds of negotiation with different parties, we are proud to share that Casa De Colts is officially CLOSED.

This remarkable estate, a dream executed in 1986, holds deep history and was the backdrop of countless life events, including wedding receptions around the indoor pool. The former owner once shared that he knew this was their home the moment he saw his wife on the magnificent Cinderella staircase.

Homes have stories, and we are honored to have been a part of this one.
