Things are blooming! Getting ready for Earth Day, which is Saturday, April 22, 2023. The Path will host a story walk that promotes earth-friendly reminders of how to reduce, reuse, recycle along with how to compost in your garden and at the Town’s Transfer station! Look for the banners on the town green that announce the yearly earth day event, “Rid Litter/Build Mt. Trashmore” (beginning Monday, April 17.). So mark your calendar to pick up your vest, gloves, bags and road assignment on Saturday, April 22 from 9 AM to 4 PM and keep Redding Green & Clean!

I respectfully waited to post about our dear friend of the Parade Path, Hugh Karraker, who died in hospice on August 17, 2022 in Danbury, CT.
Hugh shared so many gifts with the town of Redding. But for me, his visual, natural "creations" carry on his legacy and his love of nature. His use of native plants and wood are seen in his many benches and gates that flank the Parade Path and Town Green and other places in town.
I and other friends of the Path will be hosting a memorial "toast" at the large gate Hugh made on the Parade Path, Wed. Sept. 21, 2022 at 5:45 pm. If you would like to be present, please RSVP to Alice Smith via message or by calling Town Hall at 203-938-2002, ext. 1.

The Gazebo is a fabulous place for musicians to come and practice their instruments. Here is violinist Cole Smith with guitarist Jimmy Berger enjoying the acoustics, view and fresh air!
